Wisdom surrounds us.
It can be found in the written and the spoken word, in happiness and in pain, in nature, in the hearts of the young and the old.
We move through life often trying to accumulate it. We collect wisdom just like we would collect food or the materials to build a house.
We sometimes overburden our hearts and minds with this collected wisdom we feel that we need in order to justify our actions and needs. Trying to find more meaning than there is.
Wisdom is like water or sand. It is impossible to hold onto it. Yet we can lie or bathe in it as we would on sand or in water.
imagine if the goal of life were to to build a house and we had to collect the materials as we moved through life, always carrying it with us... would we ever reach the goal? Or would we die of exhaustion on the way...?
the house we need to build is inside us already. It has no need of expensive building materials, it has no need to be collected and amassed.
It is a house of love. And inside it is all the wisdom in the world.
